Ameriprise Private Wealth Advisor

 Paraplanner

The primary function will be supporting one veteran advisor within a 10 person office.  This is a new role within a growing firm, not a replacement of an existing position.  The optimal candidate will be fully-licensed and have 2 or more years of experience working within the financial services industry.

Candidates need to be able to demonstrate client service experience, strong organizational skills, professional appearance, and be capable of thriving in a fast-paced, multi-task workplace.  Strong written/verbal communication skills and a team-player mindset are required.

Proficiency in Office applications such as Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook and Internet applications is required.  Experience with personal financial planning software (NaviPlan, Money Guide Pro, or similar) is a plus.

The role will include the following responsibilities:

1. Transactions based on advisor guidance.

2. Develop financial plans – work with advisor and clients to gather data, input to software, be present in client presentations, and draft written financial plans with advisor oversight.

3. Organize the personal marketing efforts for advisor to include the planning and groundwork for client events and other activities (workshops, dinners, social events, etc.)   Note that the Paraplanner will support the planning and execution of these activities for the advisor, they are not expected to conduct them. (example: seminars).

This role would be appropriate for the candidate who wants to stay in a support role over time, however, it is also applicable to someone who wants to develop into a producing advisor after a minimum of 3 years in this support position.
