Why Get Involved as a FPA-GHV Committee Member?
FPA is the heart of financial planning… and volunteers are the heart of our FPA Chapter.
Share your passion for your profession by getting involved in FPA-GHV. When you get involved you contribute your unique expertise to the advancement of the financial planning profession and FPA. We welcome your expertise and enthusiasm in becoming a part of our active group of volunteers. Volunteering as an FPA member is a great way to give back, build professional skills and strengthen ties with your community and fellow FPA members.
Committees are an excellent way for members to get actively involved in their association and keep up-to-date on issues affecting our industry. Member expertise and input for these committees is essential for guiding us toward our association goals and objectives.
If you have thought about it in the past, this would be a good time to express your interest. My prediction is that this is going to be a breakout year in this country and for all of our businesses. Getting involved now, even just a little bit, while having some fun, can make a big difference.
The time commitment varies — working independently, participating in occasional teleconferences and coming to an occasional board meeting. Or perhaps you can write a column for our website updating the members on important financial planning areas of interest. Find your niche, pursue your passion and contribute in ways that are uniquely yours - it will be rewarding and will benefit your business.
Call or email questions on this meeting, the committees & volunteering to Mark Brownstein or 914-752-4469 x 108.
