Active vs. Passive Investments: Which is right for your clients?
(This program has been accepted by CFP Board of Standards for 3 CFP CEUs.)
Please join us on June 10th for our last dinner program before the summer break!
This presentation will help planners learn why institutional investors are choosing ETFs to manage their investments and address such questions as: Is my active mutual fund manager a "closet indexer"? What is Active Share and how can it identify manager value? What is the cost savings to a client using ETFs vs mutual funds?
Also covered will be constructing an ETF portfolio and adding alpha using ETFs and understanding what is smart beta as well as cap weighted vs. fundamental weighted indexing.
Program will also include a facilitated discussion during which attendees will address the issues that need to be considered when transitioning from active to passive investing. Specifically, what are the benefits to the client? How do you choose ETFs? What are the investment criteria?
