About Our Chapter

The Membership Association for the Financial Planning Community

The primary aim of the Financial Planning Association® (FPA®) is to be the community that fosters the value of financial planning, and advances the practice and profession of financial planning. FPA's strategy to accomplish its objectives involves welcoming all those who advance the financial planning process and promoting the CFP® mark as the cornerstone of the financial planning profession.
FPA members are dedicated to supporting the financial planning process in order to help people achieve their goals and dreams. FPA believes that everyone needs objective advice to make smart financial decisions and that when seeking the advice of a financial planner; the planner should be a CFP® licensee.
Local Chapters: A nationwide network of local chapters is the backbone of FPA. Each one promotes the advancement of knowledge in financial planning, supporting programs and projects that enable members to better serve their clients.

Consumer Assistance: FPA offers services and resources designed to help the public understand the importance of the financial planning process and the value of objective advice from a CFP professional. Consumers can visit www.FPAnet.org to access this information. They can also call (800) 282-PLAN.

The Financial Planning Association of the Inland Empire

FPA of the Inland Empire is unique in that we encompass a very large geographical area.  Inland Empire, also known as "The IE," is an area approximately 60 miles from north to south and some 50 miles wide. It spans both Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. This is an area that is roughly 2/3rds the size of Connecticut. The area is surrounded by mountain ranges and hills on all sides, with only a few natural passes to Los Angeles and Orange County to the West. San Diego County lies to the South and Palm Springs to the East.
We have recently redesigned our membership meetings to facilitate attendance by our FPA members and guests who must travel long distances. We meet once per quarter and vary the location. We also offer continuing education credits for attendance at our membership meetings, where guest speakers provide useful information, which contributes to the continuing education requirements for the CFP® license.

Our membership consists of approximately 100 professional members, representing a diverse spectrum of specialties. These specialties include fee-based, commission based and fee only financial planning, banks/thrifts/trust, insurance/annuities, broker dealer services, investment management and accounting. Membership is the ideal way to meet with your peers and benefit from their experience.

We hope this website gives you the information you need regarding our local chapter's events and activities.
