NEWS . . . Taxpayer Advocacy Panel

Middle TN chapter member, David W. Hayes, is one of 74 volunteers serving a three-year term on the Taxpayer Advocacy Panel.  The TAP Mission . . . The Taxpayer Advocacy Panel listens to taxpayers, listens to taxpayer issues, and makes recommendations for improving IRS service and customer satisfaction.

David will represent local taxpayers as well as work on national issues.  TAP members devote 300 to 500 hours yearly to the panel.  Members work with IRS executives on priority topics and also serve as a conduit for grassroots issues between the public and the IRS.  The TAP is committed to making sure the IRS seeks out and considers panel members' views on key initiatives impacting taxpayers before decisions are made.

Taxpayers can contact David Hayes and the Taxpayer Advocacy Panel by calling 1-888-912-1227, www.improveirs.org, or David  directly at 615-504-0622 or davidwhayes@comcast.net.
