Client Services Advisor Job Descriptiong

We are rapidly growing fee-only wealth management company in Akron, OH seeking a Client Services Advisor for our expanding team.  This is an ideal opportunity for a financial planner to learn our firm and the financial planning business from the group up while making substantial contributions to our firm and mass affluent clientele.

Position Overview

This is a professional position that will support the firm's Wealth Advisors directly in managing existing and new client relationships.  You will be expected to assist in various projects including portfolio reviews and preparing financial projections using Morningstar and Money Guide Pro financial planning software.  Thorough computer and technology skills are essential with the ability to quickly learn new software.  A working knowledge of portfolio allocation and investmant management is expected.  The Wealth Advisors are available to provide mentoring and big picture directions, but you must have the ability to utilize critical thinking skills, work independently, and anticipate firm needs and client questions.

Initial Key Areas of Responsibility:

 

  • Regularly monitor clients' financial situations with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Involvement in all aspects of pre-client meeting activities such as preparation of meeting agendas, client paperwork, Investment Policy Statements, asset allocations as well as post-client meeting tasks such as developing meeting notes, performng financial situation analyses, and coordinating planning implementation with outside professionals if necessary
  • Prepare financial plans and retirment projections
  • Work with the Shareholder Services Group custodial platform and the various other solfware programs we employ listed below under Qualifications
  • Assist with trading and rebalancing of client investment accounts
  • Maintain client records in CRM and document management software
  • Interact with clients over the phone and in-person professionally and respectfully
  • Troubleshoot computer software and serve as back up for operations and admin
  • Facilitate efficient office operations including leading and assisting with process and sysstem improvement projects

 

Future Key Areas of Responsibility:

 

  • Teach adult education workshops in conjunction with firm principal on various financial planning topics and convert qualified clas attendees into ongoing wealth management clients

 

Key Qualifictions:

 

  • Must thoroughly enjoy highly detail oriented work
  • Experience creating plans with Money Guide Pro
  • Exposure to wealth management via a RIA
  • Show curiosity and confidence when dealing with clients and Wealth Advisors
  • B.A. or B.S. degree from accredited CFP® Board registered financial planning program
  • CFP® certification or Candidate for CFP® certification
  • Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Specific experience working with Redtail, Morningstar Office, TRX Rebalancing, Dimensional Returns 2.0, CCH Prosystem FX Tax Planning, Net Documents, and NETX360 is a plus
