Our goal is to present an array of topics for the local community to help raise financial awareness and knowledge. Three topics will run each half hour between 5pm and 7:30pm, giving you an opportunity to attend all or one session of your choice.
(1) College Funding 101
How to best save for your child’s college tuition costs. Regardless on where you stand with college savings, this session will help you determine what options you have available. A representative from College Advantage, the Ohio 529 plan sponsor will be available for questions.
(2) Retirement Readiness and Social Security
Are you ready to retire? When should you start to collect Social Security? This session will help answer these questions and provide resources to guide you from working to retirement. A Social Security expert will be available for questions.
(3) Family Financial Essentials
Is your entire family’s financial picture working together towards the same goals? This session will include basic information on employer sponsored retirement plans (401ks, etc.), life insurance, beneficiary forms, estate planning documents (wills, power of attorney, etc.), and other financial planning topics.
An “Ask the Expert” table will also be available.
