The Financial Planning Association of Southwest Florida is pleased to open up its January 26th meeting to all professionals interested in hearing the guest speaker Dr. David M. Jones and learning more about the Financial Planning Association of Southwest Florida.   

              Dr. David M. Jones, Ph.D. in Economics,

University of Pennsylvania

Previously, Dr. Jones was with Aubrey G. Lanston Co. Inc. from September 1972 through March 2000, where he served as Chief Economist, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. From 1968 to 1972, he was Vice President and Financial Economist at Irving Trust Company in New York. Earlier, from 1963 to 1968, Dr. Jones began his career as an Economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. 

He is author of the landmark classic book on Federal Reserve policy, FED WATCHING AND INTEREST-RATE PROJECTIONS: A Practical Guide, published in 1986; THE POLITICS OF MONEY: The Fed Under Alan Greenspan, published in 1991; THE BUCK STARTS HERE: How the Federal Reserve Can Make or Break Your Financial Future, pulished in 1995; and UNLOCKING THE SECRETS OF THE FED: How Monetary Policy Affects the Economy and Your Wealth-Creation Potential, published by John Wiley & Sons, in 2002.  Dr. Jones has been a regular commentator on CNBC, CNN, NIGHTLY BUSINESS REPORT (PBS), and other network and cable TV news shows.  He has been featured in SMART MONEY and MONEY magazines.
