Topic:
"Cost Segregation: What is it? And, when to use it?"

Kevin R. Sell, CPA will provide an in-depth update on how cost segregation services can increase your clients business and individual cash flows while not reducing financial statement income. Cost segregation involves studying real property improvements and choosing appropriate income tax methods for depreciation as allowed by the Internal Revenue Code and recent Tax Court case law. Owners of real property can offset other business income and potentially receive refunds of prior years taxes as a result.

Kevin is an owner at Heiskell MacGillivray & Associates, a locally based CPA firm, and is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s, the Washington Society of CPA’s, and is currently serving as Treasurer of the Spokane Estate Planning Council. He has over 27 years experience in providing business and individual tax and estate compliance and planning services.
