Cincinnati Financial Education Day January 28 – 10am to 4pm
The FPA of Greater Cincinnati is proud to be a co-sponsor of this free public financial education & literacy event with the Mayor’s office, PNC Bank, and other community partners. This event is an example of the dedication of our membership to the principles and benefits of financial planning services in Southwestern Ohio.
If you are interested in volunteering at the event, please contact Admin@fpacinti.org . All members, co-workers, young professionals, and office staff are encouraged to volunteer and there will be public recognition for your volunteer efforts, either as a financial counselor or in another capacity.
If you know people who may be interested in attending, please have them register for the free event at http://www.cincinnati-oh.gov/noncms/mayor/edu2012/edu_2012.cfm. PNC Bank is also planning to offer their “ S for Savings” Kids Financial Education Program to attendees. Details still being developed. We are expecting a large turnout and media coverage at the event because the United Way is announcing the launch of the 2012 VITA Tax Season program at the event. FPA is seeking at least 30 volunteers to help with the event on January 28. Shifts are either 9:30am to 1pm and 12pm to 4:30pm. Snacks will be available. Please share announcement widely with co-workers.

CFP Board will soon be launching its first large-scale Public Awareness Campaign to increase awareness of CFP® professionals. As part of the campaign, CFP Board will be placing advertisements in national cable television, print and online media channels, as well as engaging in extensive public relations and consumer outreach activities in support of the campaign. The campaign will be accompanied with a toolkit of resources that CFP® professionals can use in their local communities to extend the reach of the campaign.
