Business Solutions Conference Task Force – Plans, develops program and secures speakers for this new conference which is where financial planners are provided advanced, cutting-edge content on a variety of niche, high-interest subjects around business and practice management. Staff liaison: Jean Cantey
Diversity Task Force – Is a work group that engages in interactive dialog to raise awareness of and develop specific strategies to increase opportunities for people of diverse color, gender, ethnic and sexual orientation to learn about, enter and thrive in the financial planning profession. The group also focuses on developing resources for FPA members and all financial planners accommodate a more diverse client base. Staff liaison: Julie Massaro
Heart of Financial Planning Distinguished Service Awards Task Force – Solicits nominations for individuals organizations and chapters who are engaged in extraordinary work to contribute and/or give back to the financial planning community and/or to the public through financial planning. NexGen Conference Task Force – Plans, develops and identifies a content-rich conference program geared toward future leaders of the financial planning profession. Utilizing the infrastructure of the industry built by their peers and mentors, task force members solicit speakers and topics that will educate and inform new planners on how to grow in their careers. P. Kemp Fain, Jr. Award Task Force – Solicits nominations for professionals who have made a significant contribution to the financial planning profession in the areas of service to society, academia, government, and in professional activities. They must also exemplify FPA's core values of integrity, competence, relationships and stewardship. Staff liaison: Wendy Todd
Retreat Task Force – Plans, develops program and secures speakers for the conference in which financial planners are provided advanced, cutting-edge content on a variety of niche, high-interest subjects covering the art and science of planning. Staff liaison: Jean Cantey
Social Security Task Force – Considers and recommends to the FPA Board of Directors the most appropriate opportunities and strategies for FPA and its members to have visible and positive impact on discussions to restructure the U.S. Social Security system. Staff liaisons: Laura Brook and Ryanne Enyeart
