About the Program
CFP Board's revised Standards of Professional Conduct, which took effect July 1, 2008, introduces significant changes to the ethical standards for CFP® certificants. In addition to a new fiduciary duty of care for CFP certificants who provide financial planning services, the revised Standards also include enhanced guidelines for required disclosures and a new requirement for written agreements governing financial planning services.
