About My Practice

As a Certified Financial Planner, I work with my clients in a holistic manner, with the goal of identifying where they are now, where they want to be and when they want to be there and then putting together a dynamic plan to help them achieve those goals.  As a Certified Public Accountant, my goal is to help them achieve their goals in a tax-efficient manner through income-timing strategies as well as other tax-deferral and avoidance strategies.  I greatly believe good tax planning can enhance overall returns and the achievement of financial planning objectives.

I relate very well with those who are interested in Retirement Planning and believe in the principles of Life-cycle planning including "building a floor" and "invest for upside".  See riia-usa.org for more information.

I also love working with those of the "Sandwich Generation" as my wife and I cared for elderly parents for 5 years while raising and educating children into and through college.  I understand the issues and difficulties involved and believe I can offer significant help.

Rounding out the inter-generational theme, also as a result of personal experience, I love helping high-achieving young people in the college planning process.  The FAFSA is a tax-oriented form and I am passionate about tax-planning.

I also have great admiration for Small Business Owners.  They drive the economy and are usually so focused on their businesses that they don't have time for the important planning issues.  I relate to them because I have been one for almost 30 years.
