About My Practice

EVERY FAMILY DESERVES A FINANCIALLY HOPEFUL FUTURE – I HELP THEM SECURE THAT

Established in 1982, we are a FEE ONLY Registered Investment Advisory firm specializing in financial planning for the retired and those preparing for retirement. Our average client has entrusted us with more than $500,000 to preserve, to grow and to provide income in retirement. Our clients get:

· A Strategy for living the life they want to have in retirement whether they are 10 years from retirement, about to retire or retired now

· Unbiased financial planning that shows how to maximize retirement income

· Strategies to maximize social security benefits

· Ways to coordinate spousal social security benefits

· Analysis and recommendations about the best ways to maintain your income in retirement no matter how long the client lives

· Evaluation of Long Term Care needs and strategies to address these needs

· Estate planning recommendations to assure that family legacies are secure

· A full range of investment services on a fee only basis.

We also do a lot of handholding!

Choosing a financial planning firm and a planner is no easy task. Often a consumer may get a referral to an advisor from a friend or associate. Sometimes it is a good fit sometimes not. At IFA we work hard to get to know our clients. It’s a standing joke that eventually we will know the dog food your pet eats and your favorite song. What that tells you is that this business of financial planning is a personal business. If we don’t really know you – if we don’t know your dreams – if we don’t know what you are striving for in life, then we don’t deserve your business. More importantly, we don’t deserve a lifelong relationship built on trust and confidence.

Experience

With thirty years of financial planning experience at his Fountain Valley California practice, and a commitment to client centered services, Mitchell specializes in meeting the complex needs of clients planning to retire within the next 10 years and those already retired.

The Client’s well-being comes first and only at IFA.

Having been a teacher many years ago, he has always valued learning and has continued his pursuit of knowledge. He regularly writes about retirement income planning, economic and investment issues and current events that affect his clients and their financial well-being.

Frequently interviewed in the past by The Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Wall Street Journal and FNN-TV, and appearing in Newsweek, Time, U.S. News & World Report, Money and Forbes, he has often been quoted on topics ranging from retirement to estate planning, asset allocation and lower risk investment strategies for those over 50.

Integrity Financial Advisory was named to the 2001 Bloomberg List of the Top 150 Wealth Managers in the United Sates. IFA was ranked #100. Integrity Financial Advisory has also been named the #1 firm in assets under $100 million by Financial Advisor Magazine in their July 2007 issue. In addition, IFA has received the coveted Five Star Wealth Manager Award for the years 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. The list of award recipients is published each year in the March issue of Orange County Magazine and covers all wealth managers in Orange County. Less than 7% of the wealth managers in a given geographical market are included on the final published list. And fewer than 3% of all wealth managers have received this award three years running.

During the 1980s Mitchell was the co-host and managing editor of the nationally syndicated PBS-TV series "The Financial Advisors." During the late 1990s and early 2000s, he was a regular guest on Los Angeles KRLA-AM talk radio, discussing financial planning, ways to maximize retirement income and strategies for creating lower risk investment portfolios.
