Maureen Richardson is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Practitioner with 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Maureen works with high-achieving individuals and small business owners on wealth accumulation, estate preservation, risk management, and investment planning. Maureen focuses on pre-retirement and retirement planning and the issues involved in retirement income strategies.
Formally trained as a skater, Maureen learned the importance of discipline and the value of hard work from a young age. She started her investment career early by working her way through college as a broker's assistant at Merrill Lynch. After graduating from Kent State University in Ohio with a finance degree, Maureen moved to Manhattan to work for the former EF Hutton & Co. From New York Maureen then moved to Northern California to work as a compliance examiner for the National Association of Securities Dealers. Maureen then went on to Charles Schwab and Co. where she led projects in their branch and corporate audit department.
Maureen has been Series 7 registered (the General Securities Exam) since 1985 and is registered as a Registered Representative and an Investment Adviser Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network. She completed her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 1996.
As an independent financial advisor, Maureen brings her extensive background involving the inner workings of the financial services industry to the table. She understands the business from Wall Street to Main Street and shares that valuable expertise and experience with her clients. Ever resourceful and practical, Maureen has a knack for listening to her clients and working with them to create a plan for their financial goals.
