About My Practice
Maureen Richardson is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional in practice since 1993. Maureen is also the author of "Til Money do Us Part," a book written to help couples become ready financially for marriage or long term commitment. The book addresses new couples, couples that may be experiencing financial challenges and financial issues that come the re-marriage.
Maureen works with those who want to get ahead financially and increase their financial confidence. Many people will make decisions that may not be the best decision for the long run because they may not know where to turn. Maureen has been told many times that her approachable, friendly environment makes it easy for people to freely discuss their questions and concerns.
Maureen named her practice Richardson Elite Financial Strategies from having been formally trained as a figure skater. In skating, there were central skating locations where the best skaters trained, and these centers were called "elite training centers." As Maureen explains "it was fun to be a part of those centers. The creativity, the ability to skate with the best, the high level coaching, the achievement attitudes, the ability to overcome failure and experience success, and to experience personal growth; these were the ingredients I wanted to bring to my financial planning practice and have my clients experience financially.
Maureen looks at every client individually and designs customized solutions relevant to the situation. Maureen has been involved with the financial services industry since working part of her way though college as a broker assistant at Merrill Lynch. Her full biography is on her website, but financial planning was never a second career and through her experience in many different roles, she is able to assess the big picture and create a game plan for people to follow to help them reach their financial goals.
Her clients know planning doesn't restrict your life, it helps open up possibilities and allows you to spend money on the things that are important to you; things you enjoy doing.
Please contact Maureen if you've been thinking about money and may have these questions, as an example:
• I'm getting married, what do I need to do now to prevent "surprises?"
• When and how should I take social security?
• Are my beneficiaries correct on my IRA's?
• Will I have enough to live on the rest of my life if I retire?
• How should I invest my money?
