Why Use This Tool?

I am the principal of MacMonagle Associates, Inc. (MAI), a professional independent financial planning firm focusing on Cash Flow Analysis, Retirement Planning, and Survivorship Planning. The Firm uses a Monte Carlo simulation program to estimate the probability that a client's cash flows and assets will be sufficient to sustain the desired standard of living in retirement. The program runs thousands of simulations to test the impact of changes to asset allocation, investment return and volatility, inflation, and spending levels on the sustainability of the retirement plan. If needed, we can test the impact of the premature death of either spouse on the financial well-being of the survivor.

In addition to this core planning, MAI offers assistance with Budgeting, Portfolio Diversification, and an Estate Plan overview, as well as consultation on a variety of client-identified financial issues. The Firm does not implement the financial plan but helps the client arrange for implementation with the client's other financial advisors.

MAI is compensated by a contractual fee based on the complexity of the case and/or by hourly consulting fees/ MacMonagle Associates does not earn fees for the management of investment portfolios nor commissions from the sale of any financial products.

Gerri P. MacMonagle, CFP® is the principal of MacMonagle Associates, Inc., a professional financial planning firm, located in Fairfield, CT.

With more than 20 years experience in the financial industry, her past experience includes several years with two Wall Street brokerages, business development planning and education. She holds a BS in French/Education and an MS in Psychology and in 1989 completed the Certified Financial Planner Education Program from the College for Financial Planning.

She is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) formerly the Institute for Certified Financial Planners (ICFP) and a member of the Certified Financial Planners Board of Standards, Inc. As a member of the FPA, her most recent responsibilities included Co-Chair of the Board of Directors Connecticut Chapter (1999-2001) and President of the ICFP Connecticut Chapter (1997-1999).

In the past she has served on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer of the Mercy Learning Center, Bridgeport, CT.  In addition, she has served as both a Board of Directors and as Treasurer of the Barnum Museum Foundation, Inc.
