OUR FINANCIAL PLANNING PRACTICE business model closely replicates the level of services available to affluent families and business owners. We accomplish this by leading a team of trusted advisors, we build, implement and monitor our client’s college , retirement, estate, philanthropic and business succession plans. We address these issues using a structured collaborative approach with our clients and their trusted advisors always mindful of discretion and confidentiality.
OUR CLIENTS require income tax planning, money management services with an institutional process and estate preservation planning. Foremost in our client's mind is the protection of their wealth from catastrophic health care costs, frivolous personal liability lawsuits and inadequate investment risk management.

MY CAREER began in 1971, when I graduate from Sacred Heart University where I captained my DII NCAA basketball team while earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology. After graduation, I worked my way up from bank branch manager to Vice President of Lending with Connecticut National Bank and Citytrust Bank. In 1981, I joined Financial Services International Inc., a national fee-based financial planning firm specializing retirement planning for FORTUNE 500 corporate executives. In an effort to further my financial education I attended Adelphi University and obtained the designation of Certified Financial Planner Licensed Practitioner. With these credentials in hand I was recruited by Prudential Securities and Prudential Preferred Financial Services . In 1995, after a successful career with Prudential, I managed of a full service brokerage office for LINSCO/Private Ledger and founded AdvisorsOne Wealth Management Group LLC, a fee-based financial planning and RIA firm.
IN 2008 I consolidated my practice with BARNUM FINANCIAL GROUP, an Office of Metlife, the largest financial planning firms in New England with 33 locations extending from NJ to RI with over 380 financial advisors. Metlife's 141-year history and dominant financial resources combined with a full service platform of protection and wealth management solutions compliments my extensive Wealth Management expertise. As a member of MetLife's PlanSmart corporate education team, I taught financial literacy courses at various organizations and corporations including the CFP® certification course as an adjunct professor at Sacred Heart University.
AS A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ for over three decades I am defined by a Code of Ethics that differentiates my relationship to my clients from that of the vast majority of financial advisors who's primary focus is the sale of financial products.That being said my mission remains to make a positive difference in the lives of my clients though financial literacy and creative Wealth Management Solutions.
WE HAVE a home in Brookfield, CT and also Wake Forest NC with his wife Kim. They have five grown children, Steve, Jameson, Morgan, Kelley, Greg and three grand children.
