About My Practice
Doug Brewer is a Financial Advisor in the Reno office of Merrill Lynch. As a financial advisor, Doug helps clients manage their personal and business finances. On the business side, he has worked with clients to establish owner/employee retirement plans, cash management strategies, and meet their borrowing needs.
On the personal finance side, he focuses on retirement and estate planning. Regarding retirement planning, he has worked with clients to establish goals and develop a strategy to meet those goals consistent with their need to minimize risk. Regarding estate planning, he and his trust and estate specialists have worked with clients and their advisors in developing a plan to minimize taxes and meet their legacy goals.
Doug has a BS degree in chemical engineering and a MBA, and is a Certified Financial Planner™ certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. He has worked in the financial industry for over 15 years, lives in Reno with his wife and two sons, and is an active supporter of local youth music programs.
