Bolen | Dodson & Associates provides integrated wealth planning services. Integrating your money with your life occurs when your heart felt goals and aspirations are the reference point for your financial and life decisions. Our mission is that clients live inspired lives, free from worry about their money matters. We specialize in financial transition planning, which we call Managing Life in Motion, because when money changes, life changes and when life changes, money changes. Our Goals-Based Investing philosophy puts your goals at the center of our investment management process. As fiduciaries, your best interests guide our decisions.
I have been in the investment business for over 25 years, serving as a securities analyst, financial planner and portfolio manager.
I began my investment career as a Investment/Securities Analyst first at Prudential Insurance (1986-1987), then Equitable Securities (1988-1989) and lastly J.C. Bradford & Co. from 1989-2000, having become a Partner in 1995. I then joined a software company as CFO where I worked from 2000-2001 before being called back to the investment business. I joined Merrill Lynch to learn about providing personal financial services before starting my own financial planning and investment management company in the fall of 2003.
I have extensive Life-Coach training with the Coaches Training Institute and I am on the Mastery Track at the Sudden Money Institute, which specializes in financial transition planning.
Regarding investments, I believe capital markets work and are largely efficient. Risk is related to return. Asset allocation decisions while maintaining low costs drive returns. Portfolio diversification is key to reducing volatility and attaining your goals.
