About My Practice
We believe financial planning is a process. The process begins with understanding our clients, their goals, their children, temperaments and financial assets. We then help our clients achieve their goals in light of all the personal circumstances and issues they must deal with in making decisions. We do not have any specific products to sell. Instead, we try to put ourselves in our client's position and say, "If these were our objectives, how would we arrange our affairs?"
I am married with two children and I am active in Rotary, Boy Scouts, and my church. About 95% of my clients come to me as referrals from satisfied clients. Most of my clients are either 1) retired or soon to be retired, or 2) business owners for whom I handle their retirement plans. In general, I would say my clients are very competent in their own field of expertise, they use me as their working financial partner to avoid mistakes and handle the financial issues they don't fully understand.
Experience
I was recognized by my peers as "1997 Houston CFP of the Year". I co-authored two books and I am quoted often in MONEY magazine, the Houston Chronicle, and other publications. My greatest strength is my ability to identify creative solutions, communicate and implement them with my clients.
