About My Practice
Our Mission Statement
OUR MISSION is to establish long lasting, meaningful relationships with families and individuals who value having a financial professional as a member of their personal advisory team. We take time to help our clients understand the outcomes of all their decisions by engaging them in the financial planning process and educating them on appropriate options. Our hope is to help them build better tomorrows, preserve their resources for future generations, while avoiding unnecessary taxation and expense. Our priority is putting our clients’ interests first, treating them with dignity and respect, and striving for excellence in every facet of our service. We value our clients’ expectations and measure our success by creating complete satisfaction.
One of the most established asset management and financial planning firms in the country, Waddell & Reed was founded in 1937 by Chauncey Waddell and Cameron Reed, who combined their keen interest in the world of finance to conceive a truly personalized approach to investing. Waddell & Reed, through the company’s nearly 1,900 financial advisors, has helped numerous Americans develop customized financial plans to help them get to where they want to go in life. Each Waddell & Reed financial advisor has direct access to investment professionals as well as a wide array of highly competitive products and services. Quite simply, we do our own work, believe in our own research and act on our own ideas. We develop comprehensive, personal financial plans tailored specifically to each client’s needs. Over time, we help individuals and families turn their dreams – such as sending children to college, providing for retirement, or simply accumulating assets – into attainable, real solutions that can improve their lives. By building personalized plans supported with strong investment products, we enable our clients to identify their financial planning goals and to take action toward achieving them.
For more than 26 years, Betty Vargas, CFP® CRPC®, has been serving the San Antonio community as a financial advisor with Waddell and Reed.
