Life Insurance as an Asset Class: A Value-added Component of an Asset Allocation
Richard M. Weber, MBA, CLU, AEP®
Insurance consultant Dick Weber uses Modern Portfolio Theory concepts to associate investment styles with the different types of life insurance available. Generally, duration of need dictates whether the policy should be term or permanent. By following that rule of thumb and linking policies to the individual's investment behavior, it is possible to create a portfolio of policies that optimize the client's lifetime life insurance needs. This presentation addresses four different approaches to remediate policies that are not meeting their original objectives.
