What You Think You Know Will Hurt You
Mark W. Yusko
Our industry is replete with conventional wisdom, things we "know" to be true that we use as the basis for the investment strategies we implement for our clients . We have accumulated these beliefs during our many years in the business and we are sure that these strategies will produce the best results. What if, to quote Mark Twain, "what we know, just wasn't so..."? Would following conventional wisdom actually hurt our clients? Would we be able to achieve our long term investment goals? This session explores the potential drawbacks of relying on those things we "know" in an ever changing world and presents an alternative way of thinking about investment strategies for the challenging times ahead. This is one session you can't afford to miss, since what you "know" can hurt you and your clients.
