Event and conference information is located in the Events & Conferences section of the Web site. Within this section, you can view the Calendar of Events and the various conferences and programs we offer.

How many continuing education credits do I have to date?

How can I obtain a certificate of completion?
Go to the Certificate of Completion page, located in the Learn section of the Web site and log in. You will then be able to view and print your certificates.
How many continuing education credits will I receive from an attended conference?
Go to the Certificate of Completion page, located in the Learn section of the Web site and log in. You will then be able to view and print your certificates.
When will my continuing education credits be reported to CFP® Board?
FPA reports continuing education credit to the CFP® Board two times each month. If you have completed the CE credits within the last one or two weeks, they will be included with the next submission to the CFP® Board. If the credits were completed more than two weeks ago, please contact your dedicated Member Services Advocate at 800.322.4237, option 2.
Does FPA have a CFP® Ethics course available?
We have several options for ethics credit available in the FPA Store, including a course on CD-ROM and a course that you can download immediately after purchasing.
How can I take a Journal of Financial Planning CE Exam?
Journal of Financial Planning CE Exams are located in the CE Exam section of the Journal of Financial Planning Web site. FPA members can take CE exams at no charge as part of their member benefits. Nonmembers will be charged $25 for every exam taken.

FPA members may take CE exams at no charge as part of their member benefits. Nonmembers will be charged $25 for every exam taken. If you feel that you are being charged for an exam in error, please contact your dedicated Member Services Advocate at 800.322.4237, option 2.
How many Journal of Financial Planning CE Exams are available for me to take?
Exams from the past 23 issues are available, and are located in the CE Exam section of the Journal of Financial Planning Web site.
Virtual Learning Center (VLC) Questions & Answers
How do I register for a VLC session?
After logging in to the Web site, go to the Virtual Learning Center and click on the event you would like to take, then click the "Register" button. Fill out the online registration form with your contact information, including your FPA Member ID. Then click the "Member Pricing and CE Verification" button so your registration reflects the correct pricing. Then fill out a short survey and click the "Submit" button. If there is a registration fee for the session, you will be prompted to enter a credit card number to pay. You will receive a registration confirmation e-mail shortly after registering.
Why am I being charged the nonmember price for a VLC?
In order for you to be recognized as a member the contact information you enter on the VLC registration form needs to match the information you provided to FPA as your primary contact information. Be sure to enter your CFP® ID or your FPA ID in the box to verify your membership and click on the "Member Pricing and CE Verification" button.

The FPA Store provides valuable tools, resources and merchandise to members and nonmembers. Search for products by keyword search or by the topic links that are provided.
How do I access my purchased electronic product?
Go to the Download Manager and log in. You will see a list of the electronic products you have purchased and instructions on how to download your product.

How do I contact my local chapter?
Go to the Select/Change Chapter page, located in the Connect section of the Web site. From there you will be able to select your state to see the list of chapters, their contact information and Web sites.
When is the next chapter meeting in my area?
Many chapters will post meeting information on their Web sites, or you can also call them directly to find out when the next meeting is. To find your chapter's contact information, go to the Select/Change Chapter page, located in the Connect section of the Web site. On that page you'll be able to select your state to see the list of chapters, their contact information and Web sites.
