James Tissot, CFP®, currently serves on the board of directors for the Financial Planning Association® (FPA®), the largest organization for personal financial planning experts in the country. He is writer, editor, instructor for Keir Educational Resources and president of Prism Planning, Inc. in New York City.

Tissot has been an FPA member for 10 years and has served as FPA of New York’s Director of CFP® Education, Director of Sponsor Retention, Director of Sponsorship, President-Elect, President and Chair. He has also served on FPA Chapter Leaders Resource Council and chaired Chapter Leaders Conference task force.

Tissot has a B.S. in finance from the State University of New York.
