Rob Hoxton IV, CFP^®, currently serves on the board of directors for the Financial Planning Association^® (FPA^®), the largest membership organization for CFP^® professionals in the country, and includes many others who support the financial planning process.

He is president of Hoxton Financial, Inc. in Shepherdstown, W. Va.

Hoxton has been an FPA member since 1998 and has held various FPA leadership positions including chair of FPA Government Relations Committee and co-chair of FPA Political Action Committee. Hoxton has also served as president of the Eastern Panhandle Association of Life Underwriters; president of United Way of Jefferson County; president of Jefferson Health Care Foundation; and has served as a board member of Jefferson Memorial Hospital and Potomac Valley Audubon Society. Hoxton is founder of The Rural Financial Planning Project, a program at Shepherd University aimed to improve the lives of Americans through the promotion of financial literacy and the delivery of financial planning by well-trained and ethical financial planning professionals.

Hoxton earned a B.A in English from North Carolina State University.
