Vern Hayden, CFP^®, currently serves on the board of directors for the Financial Planning Association® (FPA®), the largest organization for personal financial planning experts in the country.  He is president of Hayden Wealth Management in Westport, Conn.

He has been a member of FPA and its predecessor organization, International Association for Financial Planning (IAFP) for 36 years. Hayden was founding president of the IAFP of Westchester/Rockland chapter and previously served as president of the IAFP of North Bay chapter, chairman of the IAFP Northern California conference, and as member of the IAFP of Fairfield County chapter board of directors. Hayden currently serves as chair of the FPA Practice Management Solutions editorial advisory board and is a contributing writer for the Journal of Financial Planning.

Hayden holds a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from Wheaton College and completed graduate work from University of Southern California, American University, University of Oregon and New York University.
