Without a doubt, education and change play an important role in our development as up-and-coming financial professionals. It's for this reason that the FPA NexGen community was created to address how we continue to evolve to respond to the needs of our clients, our practice and our profession's ever-changing landscape.
Through the participation of nearly 300 FPA NexGen members age 36 and under, the community is guided by the mission to foster such learning and growth that contributes to the legacy of the profession. As part of these efforts, FPA NexGen works in affiliation with FPA to provide the tools and knowledge that harness the power of collaboration between new and seasoned planners. FPA, the premier leadership and advocacy organization for financial planning professionals, represents more than 25,000 members with diverse backgrounds.

As an FPA Community, FPA NexGen members (FPA membership is required) are able to join discussions, and brainstorm the latest trends and ideas with peers their interactive online community. FPA NexGen members benefit from exclusive access to the FPA NexGen online discussion group and meetings at FPA conferences and events. Annual conferences also provide an opportunity to seek the advice of your peers and hear expert commentary on a range of topics. FPA NexGen is an active participant in the development of content and activities at FPA Experience 2012 (in San Antonio, Sept. 29-Oct. 2).

Discuss with your peers all the hot topics and trends facing the future of the financial planning profession. Build lasting relationships with FPA NexGen members, colleagues and FPA’s leadership in an intimate and free-flowing setting. You are not required to be an FPA NexGen member to attend this event and all members of the financial planning community are invited to join the conversation and experience. The registration fee of $250 covers lodging in a four person apartment with a private room and bath, meals, cookout, snacks and refreshments.
