Caleb Brown, MBA, CFP®

Brown is a founding member of Virtual Solutions Consortium, and co-founder and partner in New Planner Recruiting, LLC. He is the creator of the FPA Career Day program that began with the FPA of Dallas/Fort Worth chapter and has been implemented by many chapters nationally. Throughout Brown's career, he has mentored, hired, managed, and coached many career changers and college students seeking internships and full time positions in financial planning, as well as the firm owners who hire them. Brown is a frequent speaker on career development topics pertaining to the hiring and successful integration of new planners into financial planning firms. He has been featured in Investment News, NAPFA Advisor, Financial Planning, Financial Advisor, FPA Practice Management Solutions, and the Journal of Financial Planning regarding his efforts to create a career path for up and coming planners.
Jennifer Quigley, CFP®, CASL®
2012 FPA NexGen President-elect
Quigley is a senior manager with Harris SBSB, in McLean, VA. She provides financial planning, investment, and tax advisory services to clients. Quigley joined Harris SBSB in 2001 and has more than 11 years of diversified experience within the wealth management industry. An FPA member since 2006 and an FPA NexGen member since 2004, she has served on the FPA NexGen Conference Task Force and is currently helping to organize a DC Area FPA NexGen Chapter. Quigley holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Economics and Finance from The Catholic University of America.
Mary M. Bell, CFP®, AFC
2012 FPA NexGen Chair
Bell is pursuing a doctorate in Financial Planning with an emphasis in Financial Therapy at Kansas State University. Her research focus is military and military families. She previously served as a technical advisor in the Office of Personal Finance at the Department of Defense (DoD) in Arlington, VA. Bell also worked as a financial counselor for families of fallen soldiers, and is currently working on a DoD grant enabling military spouses to finish or further their education online. Bell completed her master’s degree in Personal Financial Planning at Texas Tech University and an undergraduate degree in political science from Brigham Young University. She also served as the assistant director of government relations at the Financial Planning Association in Washington, D.C. and worked as a financial assistant at The Monitor Group, and Armstrong, Fleming and Moore Financial Advisors.
Kristen O'Kane, CFP®
2012 FPA NexGen Secretary
O'Kane is a senior planning associate at The Monitor Group, Inc. in McLean, VA. She is involved in many aspects of integrated wealth management, including financial planning analyses, client meetings, estate planning and income tax preparation. As a volunteer for Junior Achievement, she has taught many local students basic business and financial literacy skills. She received her bachelor's degree in Business from Wake Forest University and an Executive Certificate in Financial Planning from Georgetown University. She is currently enrolled in the Executive MBA program at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business and expects to graduate in May of 2012.
