Established in 2000, the mission of FPSB India is to:

• Educate the public on the benefits of financial planning
• Set the qualification for the CFP^® license as the highest quality license in the financial advisory business
• Protect the CFP mark and set it at par with international standards
• Set the standards of competency and ethical practice of qualified financial planners 
• Develop and administer continuing post-certification requirements and disciplinary procedures for licensees
