The Swiss Financial Planners Organization was founded in July 1998 by leading executives of the top Swiss financial industries such as UBS AG, Credit Suisse, Zurich, Swiss Life, Ernst & Young. SFPO is the leading organization in financial planning in Switzerland and has control over the CFP mark in Switzerland, continuing education and the financial planning exams. Its objectives are to represent the interests of Swiss financial planners in relationship with supervisory authorities, national institutions and other associations, and to make sure the international contact with other financial planners abroad.
