Maximize your attendee experience by taking advantage of the numerous networking opportunities at FPA Denver 2010.
FPA Conference Buddy System:
Are you a first time attendee, student or young professional interested in taking in all the FPA Annual Conference has to offer? Please stop by the FPA Communities Booth (located in the exhibit hall) to pick up the name and contact information for an experienced financial professional.
FPA is always looking for experienced financial planning professionals to show our new conference attendees the ropes. FPA is collecting the name and cell phone number of people willing to lend their time to a student/young professional/first time attendee.
Students/young professionals/first time attendees will be encouraged to stop by the FPA Communities Booth (located in the exhibit hall) to pick up the name and number of the experienced planner. From this point forward, it is the responsibility of the student/young professional/first time attendee to connect with their buddy.
Suggestions: FPA recommends that the individuals participating in this program agree to spend at least an hour with the student/young professional/first time attendee. During this time, the experienced planner can:
- Show the student/young professional/first time attendee how to navigate the exhibit hall effectively,
- How to network with other attendees,
- How to pick the educational sessions that are best for them,
- How to get the most out of your educational sessions (ie: printing off session handouts, connecting with other session attendees and/or the speaker, etc.)
The above suggestions are just that – suggestions. If you have other great ideas to pass along, please feel free!
Expectations: There are no expectations for the individuals to connect after the conference, or even more than once at the conference. Whatever the individuals agree to is entirely at their own discretion.
If you are interested in offering your expertise to a student/young professional/first time attendee, please complete the Buddy System Sign-Up Form today!
