Saturday, October 9

Grand Georgetown
8:30 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
Cost: $65/person

Georgetown - a historical mountain town in the heart of the Rocky Mountains! The scenic drive through the rock formations and forests ends in Georgetown, a village that boasts the largest silver discovery in the history of Colorado! Enjoy a driving tour of this 1800's town, featuring quaint Victorian shops, restaurants, and over 200 restored buildings. Attendees will enjoy a walking tour of one of the historic buildings - the fabulous Hotel de Paris, built in 1875. Next, you'll have time to enjoy lunch at one of Georgetown's fine eateries before doing some shopping at the many boutiques lining Main Street (lunch is on your own.) The day concludes with a journey back in time on the historic Georgetown Loop Railroad! Passengers at the turn of the century hailed it as the "far famed loop", a marvel of engineering skill and the most complex railroad loop in the world. Today's railroad takes you over the reconstructed Devil's Gate High Bridge and through the same spectacular mountain scenery of pines, aspens, and scenic vistas that many of the visitors of yesteryear enjoyed.

Tour includes transportation, professional guide, and admission to the Hotel de Paris, train tickets, snacks and bottled water. Lunch is not included in the ticket price.

Sunday, October 10

Day of Wings and Things in the Springs

Next, you'll see one of Colorado's natural wonders, the Garden of the Gods. Only Mother Nature could have turned rocks into these unusual and majestic formations. A drive through the park and a stop at the Trading Post will allow guests the opportunity to enjoy lunch on their own as well as purchase regional souvenirs of their trip! Then it is on to Manitou Springs, a quaint town nestled in the foothills where you'll be able to explore a variety of fabulous art galleries, cafes, and shops. Many local artists are featured in this charming town and the shopping is second to none! The last stop of the trip will be to Cave of the Winds to enjoy a 45-minute Discovery Tour at the Cave of the Winds. This underground mansion of rooms and passages, decorated with limestone stalactites and flowstone curtains, will amaze everyone. Colorful Coloration
8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Focus on stunning fall foliage as you wind your way through Golden, Boulder, Estes Park, and Rocky Mountain National Park. The Fall is prime season for the foliage of Colorado's well-known aspen trees to burst with color. You will travel scenic routes while marveling as the leaves seem to change from a crisp green to yellow and fiery orange before your eyes! The first stop, Rocky Mountain National Park, is one of our nation's greatest natural assets. This natural wonder offers vistas of the breathtaking and beautiful alpine terrain that comprises a full one-third of the park's 415 square miles. Next, drive into Estes Park via the Peak-to-Peak Highway, a National Scenic Byway. Offering unique shops and a trickling creek that runs alongside the main street, you can enjoy lunch on your own at any of the lovely cafes. After lunch, you'll venture through Boulder Canyon which boasts massive rock formations and invigorating views.
