About Denver
The Mile High City has plenty to offer visitors, from urban adventure to outdoor activities. With almost 600,000 residents, Denver is a city of distinctive neighborhoods, each with its own charm and personality. From the eclectic art district on Santa Fe to the vibrant energy of LoDo, the city has something to offer everyone. Located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, Denver's breathtaking views and variety of activities will keep you from wanting to leave.
Weather Information
The biggest surprise for visitors to Denver is the climate. The arid conditions bring only eight to 15 inches of precipitation a year and locals enjoy more than 300 days of sunshine. That's more annual hours of sun than Miami and San Diego! November temperatures range from a low of 23 degrees to a high of 54 degrees.
Things to Do/Dining
Just a short drive northwest of the hotel you will find Flatirons Crossing Mall, a shopping center filled with trendy stores and more than 20 restaurants to choose from.
If you prefer fine dining, Meritage offers fine American and seafood options. If you're looking for contemporary, try Bloom next to the Flatirons Crossing mall.
If you have time and want a taste of the majestic mountains in Colorado, you can drive to Boulder (about 15 minutes along HWY 36) and hike through the breathtaking flatirons at Chautauqua park.
With the mountains to the west and a vibrant city to explore at your feet, there is always something to discover in Denver. To plan your stay and get the most out of your visit, check Denver's Convention & Visitors Bureau Web site for a list of activities and restaurants.
