It's amazing how quickly all good things come to an end. It has been an honor and privilege to serve as the 2011 FPA NexGen president. It's been a productive year as local NexGen groups continue to flourish in their own communities. There has been tremendous interest in and outreach to the student community this year, as we continue to help students and recent graduates find their place in the FPA community.
The growth of the profession will primarily come from the younger generation, and therefore it's of utmost importance that we continue to prepare tomorrow's financial planning leaders. It is also important that younger planners see and experience the value of belonging to a larger financial planning community to help thrive in their personal businesses.
As the year draws to a close, I want to welcome the 2012 FPA NexGen president, Caleb Brown. Caleb brings a wealth of experience, talent and passion to this position. He is leading the charge in helping create a career path for the profession and integrating newer planners into firms across the nation. I look forward to a bright future ahead for the FPA NexGen community. Stay connected with us by visiting www.FPAnet.org/Professionals/Connect/CommunitiesofInterest/NexGen.
